Look: «Architecture of Power»

When I was creating this look, I thought of the modern woman for whom the city is her element. I wanted to move away from banal solutions and create a kind of «soft armor»—an outfit that looks strong and monumental, yet remains comfortable and dynamic. This is a story about power encapsulated in a flawless silhouette.

Here is how I assembled this story:

1. The Faux-Leather Suit is my sculpture. The foundation is a monochrome ensemble in a deep chocolate shade. I chose faux leather for its smooth, almost futuristic texture. But I didn’t want to make a simple suit. I worked with the cut like an architect: the cape-like overlay on the shoulders creates a flowing, voluminous silhouette, while the asymmetrical cut of the wide-leg trousers breaks conventional lines. It’s not just clothing; it’s a moving sculpture.

2. The Wide Belt is the center of the composition. To gather this voluminous silhouette and maintain a sense of femininity, I added a wide belt. Notice that it’s a different, warmer cognac hue with a simple but massive buckle. This technique not only allowed for a clear accent on the waist but also added another layer of color and warmth to the monochrome look, making it more complex.

3. The Green Shoes and Earrings are an act of defiance. Every strong, nearly all-encompassing look needs an explosion of energy. An unexpected and bold color accent. I chose a bright, almost neon green. This color is like a flash of light in the calm of the brown palette. It pierces the look, declaring the wearer’s boldness and originality. The matching earrings support this audacious choice, making it a conscious and complete stylistic decision.

4. The «TOTE BAG» is irony. And this is my favorite element. After such a display of complex tailoring, luxurious texture, and bold color, the most predictable step would have been an expensive leather handbag. Instead, I chose a deliberately simple tote bag made of a wrinkled, «paper-like» material. It’s a play on contrasts: high fashion and the everyday, luxury and simplicity. This accessory speaks to a great sense of humor and the idea that true fashion is freedom from stereotypes.

The result is a look for a woman who sets her own rules. She appreciates sophisticated design, isn’t afraid of color, and approaches fashion with a light sense of irony.
